	BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team came out with a big win over conference rival Endicott College with a 58-40 victory Saturday afternoon, extending their winning streak to seven games.
	The RWU win improves the Hawks' record in the Commonwealth Coast Conference to 8-3 and 12-6 overall.  Endicott falls to 7-4 in the CCC and 11-7 overall.  
	The Hawks were pushed by a challenging Endicott team right from the start, as both teams fought for the lead in the early stages in the first half.  RWU jumped out to an early lead against the Gulls by a score of 8-2, but Endicott responded by taking back the lead going on a 6-0 run against the Hawks to retake the lead. 
	Elizabeth Kilzi (Waverly, Pa.) helped RWU to answer against the Gulls hitting a three-pointer to put the Hawks back on top with 12:54 remaining in the half.  Endicott continued to contest for the lead throughout the first half led by Jordan Ferland (Charlestown, N.H.) scoring nine points and Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) scoring seven points for the Gulls.
	Crough helped to lead a late surge from Endicott and tie the game 20-20 with five minutes remaining in the half. Kaitlyn Bovee (Berlin, Conn.) responded to pull the Hawks ahead again with a three-pointer with only 2:31 remaining in the period.  Bovee led the team at the half with 14 points.  
	Endicott refused to go down easy as Nicole Catizone (Woburn, Mass.)  hit a buzzer-beating jumper, bringing the Gulls one point away from the Hawks with a score of 27-26. 
	The Hawks came out strong in the second half and pulled ahead of the Gulls early on, opening with a 9-2 run against Endicott in the first ten minutes of the 2nd half led by Ari Renwick (Westwood, Mass.).  RWU was able to remain in the driver's seat for the remainder of the game and went as far as to extend their lead to 21 points over Endicott by a score of 56-35 with 3:16 to play in the half.
	Endicott tried to battle back with Crough and Ferland leading the Gulls in the remainder of the game, but was held at bay by the Hawks with a final score of 58-40.
	Bovee led the Hawks in points with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Kilzi added 11 points, and Renwick tallied six points and recorded six steals, tying her career-best. Alexandria Lanieri (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) and Angelica Ariola (Prospect, Conn.) each finished with ten points and five rebounds each. 
	Ferland led the Gulls with 13 points as well as eight rebounds.  Crough was the second leading scorer, racking up nine total points to go along with four rebounds and three blocks. Jen McBrien (Medfield, Mass.) added five points and five rebounds.
	Roger Williams will play host to Gordon College on Tuesday, while Endicott will host Wentworth also on Wednesday.
