Women’s Basketball to take on Curry in CCC Quarters

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team will be hosting Curry College Tuesday evening in a 7:00 p.m. game in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Quarterfinal Round.

Roger Williams enters the contest as the number two seed in the tournament while Curry is the number seven seed. The Hawks are currently on a four-game winning streak and have won 13 of their last 14 games. In addition, the 18 wins on the season are tied for the most since 2001.

Curry comes into the tournament with a 62-53 win against Wentworth Institute of Technology in the Colonels' final regular season game, snapping a six-game losing streak. Curry holds the all-time series record against the Hawks with a 34-17 record, but Roger Williams has won five of the past six matchups.

Roger Williams took the season series against Curry, winning 72-54 at home on January 8 and then defeating the Colonels 55-44 on the road on January 31.

The winner of the quarterfinal matchup will take on the winner of the #6 Eastern Nazarene/ #3 Salve Regina matchup.
