Thieret and Batas named to NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HOBOKEN, N.J. - Katie Thieret (St. Louis, Mo.) and  Maria Batas (Merrick, N.Y.) were named to the Hoboken Regional All-Tournament team after the Hawks season came to a close this weekend in the NCAA regional semi-final.  

The Hawks played in two games on the weekend starting Friday with a win against Western Conneticut State and then suffering a tough 4 set loss to on Saturday to the host, Steven's Institute of Technology.  
Thieret led the Hawks in kills this weekend, recording 31 across the two games including 18 in the nail biter against Stevens Institute of Technology.  Thieret also had an impressive .481 hitting percentage on the weekend only committing 5 errrors in the two matches.  

Batas recorded a team high 54 digs on the weekend over the course of two matches, averaging just under 8 digs per set.  Batas strongest game this weekend was against Stevens where she recorded 3 service aces and 34 of her 54 digs.

The Hawks end their season with a 23-6 record, winning their sixth straight Commenwealth Coast Conference Title and advancing in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
