Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team was upended 44-63 by Brandeis University in the Quarterfinal Round of the ECAC Division III New England Women's Basketball Championship.

Roger Williams entered their ECAC Championship as the #3 seed, with Brandeis playing as the #6 seed. This is the second time in program history that Roger Williams has played in the ECAC Tournament, previously taking part in the tournament in 2013.

Brandeis scored the first six points, going on to hold on to the lead for the period. Frankie Pinto gave the Judges their largest lead of the halftime later with a three-pointer early on to make it 9-2.

Roger Williams managed to pull within one (13-14) but could not manage to go on top. Angelica Ariola (Prospect, Conn.) brought the Hawks within four with a pair of free throws in the final minute, making the score 28-24 in favor of Brandeis.

Teagan Dunn (Burlington, Conn.) opened the second half with a layup for Roger Williams. An Ariola jumper later brought RWU back within one (30-31), but a 13-2 Brandeis run extended the score to 44-32 Brandeis. Roger Williams tried to rally back but couldn't quite keep up, as Brandeis would not let the Hawks come closer than nine over the rest of the half.

Olivia Shaw (Saco, Maine) laid in a basket to put Brandeis back on top by double-digits (46-35) with 11:40 to play. Paris Hodges (Southampton, N.Y.) sank a free with under three minutes left to give the Judges their largest lead of the game, a 22-point advantage.

Brandeis' starters accounted for 37 of their 63 points, with Frankie Pinto (San Clemente, Calif.) leading with 15 points. Hodges followed with ten points and seven rebounds. Maria Jackson followed with nine points and six rebounds. Sydney Sodine (Dix Hills, N.Y.) led the Judges with 12 boards.

Dunn, Ariola, and Rachel Battista (Johnston, R.I.) led the Hawks with eight points each. Dunn also snagged six rebounds. Bridget Qulity (Duxbury, Mass.) finished with three points, four points, and four rebounds.

Brandeis (14-12) moves on to the ECAC Semifinals on Saturday, March 7th against the winner of the #4 Norwich/#5 Keene State matchup. Roger Williams will end the season at 19-8.
