Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BRISTOL, R.I. – Gordon College took two wins over the Roger Williams University Baseball team, defeating the Hawks by scores of 1-0 and 3-2.
 
In the opener, both starting pitchers did their parts to keep the opposing offense in check. Gordon's Matt Amore held the Hawks to only one hit in the game. Despite allowing six walks, Amore never let the Hawks plate any runners, striking out 11 on the day.
 
For Roger Williams, Troy DeLeon (East Hampton, Conn.) pitched a solid game, giving only four hits without walking anyone while striking out six on the day.
 
The lone blemish for Roger Williams came in the top of the fifth, as a pair of errors by Roger Williams allowed the Fighting Scots tally their lone run of the game. Addison Tarr came home from third on a dropped pop-up on the infield. That run would end up being the game winning run, as Amore stranded the tying run at third base with a fly out to right to end the game.
 
In the second game, neither team managed to score over the first five innings.  Nichols picked up the first runs of the game when Alex Smith doubled in Dean Demers and Matt Moffat for a 2-0 Fighting Scot lead. Moffat came around in the top of the seventh with an RBI single to extend the lead to 3-0.
 
Gordon appeared to be headed for the shutout, but the Hawks managed to mount a comeback in the bottom of the seventh. Eli Camner (Hamden, Conn.) came up with a clutch two-RBI single, scoring Matt Moskal (Hamden, Conn.) and Caulin Rogers (Gloucester, Mass.) to pull the Hawks within two. RWU managed to get runners at first and third with two outs, but Nichols starter Scott Hall induced a groundout to third to escape with the win.
 
Hawks starter George Lund (West Hartford, Conn.) took the loss, giving up three runs with four strikeouts in the complete game.
