Box Score 2 Leesburg, FL- The Roger Williams University had a tough loss in their double header against Hope college on Saturday. The Hawks dropped both games to the Fighting Dutch 8-13 and 3-16. The Hawks are now 4-7 and the Fighting Dutch go 5-0.
The Hawks couldn't seem to slow the fighting Dutch down when they scored seven runs alone in the first inning. The Fighting Dutch scored again in the second inning and then again in the fourth inning putting the score at 13-0. The Hawks got on the board in the fifth inning when they scored three runs.
Joey Gulino (Meriden, CT) scored on a wild pitch.
Eli Camner (Hamden, CT) reached on a fielders choice and an RBI for
Chris Bosco (North Andover, MA) to score the first run for the Hawks.
Sean Gaffney (Simsbury, CT) Â then singled to center to field and Camner scored making the score 3-13. It just wasn't enough for the Hawks, The Fighting Dutch scored three more runs to win the Game 3-16.
Justin Garcia will take the loss for the Hawks 0-1 and Ty Van wieren will take the win for the Fighting Dutch 1-0.

In the second game of their double header, The Hawks were able to keep the score a little closer. The Fighting Dutch scored two runs in the bottom of the first, but the Hawks would answer back, scoring two runs in the top of the second.

Ryan McDermott (Wrentham, MA) to advance to third base and Gaffney would score the first run for the Hawks. With two outs for the Hawks,
Shane Nowak (Litchfield, N.H.) would advance to second and McDermott would score on a passed ball.
The Fighting Dutch scored seven runs in both the second and third inning combined. The Hawks would score two more runs in third inning. Gulino singled to left field with 2 RBIs for Nowak and McDermott to score.
The Hawks scored four more runs in the seventh inning but it wouldn't be enough to take the lead. The Fighting Dutch won the game 8-13.
Nick Cullen (Marlborough, CT) will take the loss for the Hawks 0-1 and Matt VanDyken will take the win for the Fighting Dutch 1-0.
The Hawks are back in action March 21
st when they travel to Boston, MA to take on UMass-Boston at 3PM.
