Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team suffered a pair of setback to Babson (1-3) and Clark (0-3) Saturday afternoon in the team's tri-match.

Allie Puccio (New Hartford, N.Y.) recorded career highs of 16 kills and 11 digs, and Shannon Roseen (Malden, Mass.) added 13 kills while hitting .481 in the Beavers' second four-set win over Roger Williams in the span of eight days. Babson jumped out to a quick 10-5 lead in the opening frame, but Roger Williams ripped off an 8-1 run and took the lead for good at 18-17 on a Beavers' service error. The Green and White bounced right back though, recording 13 kills against no errors while hitting .481 in an easy second-set win.

The Beavers used two service aces from Gizem Yilmaz (Istanbul, Turkey) and another from first-year Gaby Miller (Miami, Fla.) on their way to building a 12-6 lead early in game three. The Hawks pulled within two at 17-15, but two kills apiece by Puccio, Roseen and Carosotto helped the hosts pull away for a 2-1 advantage.

The Green and White had little trouble closing out the match in the fourth set as it built a quick 10-3 lead and pushed its lead to as many as 11 at 20-9 on a kill by Williams. Roger Williams got as close as six at 21-15, but the Beavers responded with four of the final five points.

Against Clark, Grace Kenningham (Houston, Texas) and Lara LoIacono (Lynbrook, N.Y.) each led RWU with seven kills each. Julia Fields (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) had 21 assists, while Kenningham and Meghan Chartier (West Point, N.Y.) both tallied nine digs each.

In the opening set, the Hawks stayed close with Clark and kept within three points for the early part of the game. Clark would pull away late, ending the set on a 4-0 run to take the opening frame 25-21.

Roger Williams fell behind 4-0 to start the second set with the Cougars scoring nine of the first 12 points. RWU trailed by 11 halfway through game (7-16) and never managed to pull with single digits. Clark would go up 2-0 with the 25-12 win.

The third set was tightly contested early on, with both teams trading points back and forth. Halfway through the game, RWU took its largest lead of the match, going up 15-10. However, Clark answered with an 8-1 run to regain the lead. With RWU only trailing 18-20, the Cougars ended the match with a 7-2 run to defeat RWU.
