BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams Women's basketball team handed a 66-55 loss to Endicott College this afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.  Both teams kept it close in the first quarter, with Roger Williams taking a slight 16-9 lead heading into the second frame.

The Hawks then extended their lead to 32-15 throughout the second quarter and never looked back for the remainder of the game.

Roger Williams maintained a 44-30 lead after the third quarter and were able to hold onto the 66-55 victory.

Mariah Nicholas (Acushnet, Mass.) recorded a game-high 30 points, while Anna Walther (Northampton, Mass.) added 16 points. Nicholas also led the team in rebounds with 11. Walther and Sam Mancinelli (Peabody, Mass.) each had two steals. The Hawks held the 47-39 rebound advantage.

The Hawks will continue their season this Tuesday, January 16 in Bristol, R.I. as they host Gordon College.
