BRISTOL, R.I.-- The Roger Williams University Men's Soccer Team lost against Salve Regina this Wednesday night, 2-0.

With 12 minutes into the first half, Owen Stevenson (Middletown, Conn.) scored his first goal of the season taking an assist from Evan MacDonald (Candia, N.H.) to give the Seahawks the lead, 1-0. Less than seven minutes later, MacDonald passed the ball to Casey Kelly (Waldwick, N.J.) to bring Salve's lead to 2-0.

Despite
Jacob Grant's (Flemington, N.J.) shot at goal, the Hawks were unable to get another shot on goal for the entire first half. The score was 2-0 with the Seahawks in the lead going into the second half.

Despite efforts from Grant,
Michael Oliveira (Waterville, Maine) and
Connor Edwards (Deerfield, Mass.) who all had shots on goal, none of them reached the net for RWU. With three minutes left in the game
Garrett Bolton (Candia, N.H.) played impressive defense, blocking two shots in a row from the Seahawks.

Neither team was capable of scoring another goal in the second half. The game ended at 2-0, with Salve taking the win.

James Lee (Sudbury, Mass.) had three saves for the Hawks. Michael Payan (Fort Lee, N.J.) had four saves for the Seahawks.

Roger Williams University (12-2) will be traveling to Gordon College on Saturday. Salve Regina (12-2) will be hosting Lasell College on Saturday as well.
