DUDLEY, Mass. - The Nichols College women's volleyball team was defeated by Roger Williams University 3-0 Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center. The Hawks took game one 25-6, game two 25-15, and game three 25-9.
 
Freshman Jayleen Fegan and senior Sabrina Boermeester each picked up three kills for the Bison (4-11, 0-4 CCC) while senior Zoe Chevrette and junior Megan Gardner each collected five digs.
 
Junior Lara Lolacono paced the Hawks (10-8, 2-1 CCC) with seven kills. Freshman Katherine Pickard registered six kills while junior Grace Kenningham notched six digs, four service aces, and two kills.
 
The Hawks posted an .800 hitting percentage in the first game and finished the match at .458.
 
Fegan recorded a pair of service aces in the match.
 
Roger Williams compiled assists on 88 percent of their kills (28-of-32) and had eight block assists.
