WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Roger Williams in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Brigham Athletic Complex for Homecoming and Senior Day and won 7-2.
The Fighting Scots (4-3, 3-2 CCC) went 5-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play against the Hawks (5-4, 2-3 CCC).
In singles competition, Justine Hanson defeated
Taryn Roche 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 1, Anne Carsey defeated
Riley Spillane 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 2, Gabrielle Brucker defeated
Jessica Magliato 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3, Kaelyn Hall defeated
Tanya Gianitsos 7-6, 6-1, 10-6 at the No. 4,
Libby Bennett defeated Jordyn Maddex 6-2, 0-6, 10-8 at the No. 5, and Caitlin Kwok defeated
Samantha Rivkin 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 6.
In doubles competition, Hanson/Brucker defeated Martin/Magliato 9-8 at the No. 1, Carsey/Hall defeated Roche/Spillane 8-0 at the No. 2, and Crimmins/Bennett defeated Maddex/Emily Ontiveros 8-6 at the No. 3.
Gordon next travels to take on Western New England in CCC play Oct. 2 at 3:30 p.m.
