Alex Coppinger set up a pass to
Lauren Deering who took a shot and scored in the upper-left side of the goal.
In the closing minutes of the first quarter, Lasell came back with a goal of their own. Sam Taylor maneuvered her way through the RWU defense and scored a back-handed shot to tie the game.
Lasell struck again three minutes into the third when Taylor found the loose ball in front of the goal and lifted a shot for a 2-1 Laser lead.
The Hawks settled down quickly and responded with a goal just over two minutes later. A penalty corner from
Brooklyn Cenatiempo went straight to
Alex Coppinger who launched a shot just inside the circle for a goal.
With just under two minutes remaining in the third, the Hawks found the back of the net for what would be the game-winning goal.
Lauren Deering found Cenatiempo who dodged the Lasers defenders and wound up a shot and scored.
