MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Field Hockey team dropped a 3-4 Commonwealth Coast Conference contest to in-state rival Salve Regina University Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
Salve Regina struck first three minutes into the game, with Eliza Timms scoring off of an assist from Hannah Filiault. The Seahawks would add another goal in the second quarter, this time from Ashley Cody to take a 2-0 halftime lead.
RWU would respond a minute into the third quarter with
Sydney McCarthy knocking in a goal to bring the Hawks within one. However Cody came back with a goal for Salve Regina two minutes later to bring the Seahawks' lead back up to two.
At the 36-minute mark, McCarthy logged her second goal of the game to make it a one-goal game once again. Salve Regina would hold on to the one-score lead until Cody notched her third score of the game two minutes into the fourth quarter.
RWU would trail by two for the rest of the way until
Hannah Palmer scored with 29 seconds left to make it a 3-4 game. Unfortunately RWU would not be able to bring in the tying goal as Salve took the win.
