How It Happened
It was a scoreless first half for both teams, as the Hawks held Connecticut College to only three shots over the first 30 minutes of play and none in the second quarter. Conversely, RWU tallied 13 shots of their own over the same period. However RWU's efforts were not rewarded, as the game entered the second half tied at zero.
Hannah Palmer would break through for RWU in the final minute of the third quarter, scoring an unassisted goal that would prove to be the eventual game winner.
The Camels would make a rally in the fourth, putting up six shots in the quarter. However, none were able to find the back of the goal, as the Hawks held on for the shutout.
