BREWSTER, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team closed out the Fall portion of their season with a ninth-place result at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship.
Hawk Highlights
Cullen Zurcher (Glastonbury, Conn.) had the top showing for the Hawks at the tournament, tying for 19
th place after shooting a pair of sub-80 rounds of 78 and 79.
Ryan Burrill (Southington, Conn.) began the tournament with an 82 but was able to shoot 76 on day two to finish in a tie for 22
nd place.
Ben DeFelice (Warwick, R.I.) and
Justin Hayes (Bedford, N.H.) both concluded the tournament tied for 51
st place. DeFelice posted rounds of 83 and 82, while Hayes shot 82 and 83 on his two days.
J.J. Cannon (Whitinsville, Mass.) was the final placer for Roger Williams, coming in a tie for 90
th place. He opened with an 89 on the first day, followed with an 86 on the second.
Babson College took first place overall, with the Beavers' Nicholas Gianelos took medalist honors after finishing at +1 overall.
