At the 22:39 mark, Western New England ended the shutout when Jacqueline Clark scored off an assist from Ali Martin to cut the deficit to one. Roger Williams would go into halftime with the 2-1 advantage.

The Hawks would get that goal back shortly into the third quarter. Lea Peterson (Upton, Mass.) connected with Brooklyn Cenatiempo to return RWU's lead to two.

In the fourth quarter, Taylor Klesyk (Hamden, Conn.) closed the gap to one with just under eight minutes left, scoring off of a pass from Madison Barron (Lebanon, Pa.). Three minutes later, Morgan Foley helped give RWU a cushion with another goal to help push RWU to the win.
