BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Field Hockey team dropped a 2-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference contest Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams.

How It Happened
Prior to the game, Roger Williams seniors Elizabeth Prentiss (Danvers, Mass.), Carly Doulette (Bridgewater, Mass.), Anna Vasaturo (Pittsford, N.Y.), Drew Abbott (Uxbridge, Mass.), Alex Coppinger (Guilderland, N.Y.), and Sydney McCarthy (Little Falls, N.Y.) were honored for senior day festivities.
 
In the first quarter, Roger Williams scored the first goal of the match eight minutes is. Emma Stevens served up a penalty corner to Alex Coppinger, who buried a shot in goal for a 1-0 RWU lead.
 
The Hawks' advantage would not last long, as Salve Regina's Tori Bickel found the back of goal two minutes later off a pass from Eliza Timms.
 
The score would remain tied throughout the second period and into halftime. In the third quarter, Ashley Cody notched the game winner eight minutes into the period.
 
In the fourth quarter, the Hawks attempted to make one last rally in the final minute, making their way down the field. Unfortunately, the team could not get a shot off as Salve held on for the win.
