N. DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team fell 81-89 to the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Friday evening.

How It Happened
UMass-Dartmouth scored the first basket of the game before the Hawks came back with layups from
Doug Hostetler and
Rich Pugliese. From there, both sides traded points back and forth throughout much of the early part of the first half. Neither team led more by four points for most of the half.
With six minutes left in the first half, the Corsairs broke a 27-all tie with an 8-0 run that eventually led to an 11-point lead (33-44). RWU would cut it to seven going into halftime, trailing 37-44.
In the second half, RWU would trim away the deficit, eventually tying the game at 53 with 15 minutes to play. From there, the Hawk offense stalled as the Corsairs rolled off a 15-0 run over the next six minutes. The Hawks would not be able to pull closer than seven the rest of the way as UMass-Dartmouth earned the win.
