How It Happened
An administrative technical foul on Roger Williams gave Curry the opportunity to knock down a pair of free throws, giving the Colonels a 2-0 lead before tip-off. Their lead would be shortlived, as RWU scored on the opening possession.
The Hawks took a brief 9-8 lead before Curry answered with a bucket. The Colonels would lead by five halfway into the quarter, but RWU stayed in the hunt and would regain the lead in the final minute of the quarter. (21-20).
In the second quarter, the Hawks' lead hovered between one and six throughout the period before going into halftime up 34-28. Roger Williams would pull away in the third, using a 16-0 run to turn a four-point lead into a 20-point advantage (52-32). The Hawks would go into the fourth up by 16. That lead would be too much for the Colonels to overcome, never drawing closer than 14.
