How It Happened
In the second half, Pride's Sweeney brought up the ball from the left side of the field and shot a rocket at Strassburg who blocked it out of the way as Swetland got the rebound and put it in the left corner of the net.
Not long after, RWU's Larson stepped up to take the kick after a Springfield foul and landed the ball over the goalies head to tie the game 1-1.
With two minutes remaining in double overtime, Dale was fouled inside the penalty box. She chose the bottom left corner which ultimately led to Springfield's first win of the season.
