MANSFIELD, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Field Hockey team extended its winning streak to four in a row after rolling to a 6-1 win over Eastern Connecticut State University Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Both teams went into the second quarter tied after a scoreless first quarter. Sydney McCarthy found the back of the goal four minutes into the second quarter, putting in a rebound off of a saved shot. Brianna Nolan would tie the game with four minutes left until halftime with a score off of a penalty corner.
 
In the third quarter, Morgan Foley put the Hawks in the lead with a score off of a penalty corner late in the period. Then in the final minute of the quarter, Foley connected with Brooklyn Cenatiempo to make it a 3-1 game going into the fourth.
 
In the fourth quarter, RWU blew the game open with three scores in the quarter from Foley, McCarthy, and Carly Doulette (Bridgewater, Mass.). The Hawk defense continued its stifling play throughout the game, holding the Warriors to only eight shots in the game, all of which came in the second quarter.
