How It Happened
With 25 minutes left in the first half, Hawk's Edwards took a corner kick that led to an assist as Andrade headed the ball into the top right corner of the net for a 1-0 lead. In the last ten minutes of the half, Geschickter had a couple of impressive saves as the Engineers tried to battle back. MIT then tied the game 1-1 in the second half with 25 minutes left when Seiple made a move around RWU's defenseman and struck the corner of the net with his shot. Shortly after, back to back penalties were called against both teams resulting in a save by Engineer goalkeeper Cowham and a high shot over the net from Seiple with 18 minutes left of regulation.
