How It Happened
Maddie Wilson grabbed the lead early in the game for Curry, scoring at the 18:35 mark. Madison Conway toed a pass to Wilson who managed to bury the shot on net for a 1-0 Colonel lead.
Curry's one-goal lead lasted through the rest of the first half until Conway scored one of her own to double the lead. Tayla Randall connected with Conway 16 minutes into the second half to give the Colonels a 2-0 lead. Then nine minutes later, Randall outran the RWU defense and booted one over the keeper to build Curry's lead to three.
The Hawks managed to get on the board with a goal from
Sara Nerwinski just under two minutes to play, but that would not be enough as the Colonels secured their first win over Roger Williams since 2004.
