How It Happened
Roger Williams took a 2-0 lead in the opening quarter with goals from
Emma Stevens and
Sydney McCarthy within the first ten minutes.
Alex Coppinger added another tally in the five mintues into the second quarter, eventually giving RWU a 3-0 halftime lead.
In the third quarter,
Hannah Palmer (Essex Junction, Vt.) notched her second goal of the year, followed by another McCarthy tally six minutes later.
Olivia Hampe finished things off with her first collegiate goal in the final minute of the game to help RWU cruise to the win.
RWU dominated throughout the day, outshooting the Falcons 31-9 and holding a 19-7 advantage on penalty corners.
