RWU would manage to pull away late, scoring four of the final five points to break a 21-all tie and take the set 25-22.

Strong serving by the Camels early in the second set helped push them to a large lead that Roger Williams was unable to overcome. Connecticut College used six aces as part of a 10-1 run to begin the set. The Hawks managed to pull within three late in the game (18-21), but the Camels still came away with the 25-19 win.

Both sides traded points early in the third set before a 5-0 run helped give RWU a 10-5 lead, forcing the Camels to call timeout. Connecticut College would eventually tie the game at 13. It would be tight from there on, as both teams combined for five ties and three lead changes the rest of the way. With the score knotted at 23, a pair of miscues by the Camels helped RWU come away with the 25-23 win.

In the final set, Roger Williams was able to pull away halfway through the set. Holding a slim 9-8 advantage, RWU mounted an 8-2 run, capped off by three straight kills from Katherine Pickard to force a Camel timeout.
