Women’s Lacrosse Upended By Randolph-Macon

ASHLAND, Va. – The Roger Williams University Women's Lacrosse team could not claim a win in the final game of the team's Virginia Spring Break trip, as Randolph-Macon College picked up a 10-13 win over the Hawks Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
Madi Drain gave Roger Williams a quick 1-0 lead with a goal seven minutes into the game. However, Randolph-Macon responded with a 5-0 run over an eight-minute stretch, going up 4-1 with 9:36 left in the half. The Hawks would come back with three goals over the next five minutes to pull within two (4-6). Yet Randolph-Macon scored the final two goals of the half for a 8-4 lead going into halftime.
 
Roger Williams began the second half with a pair of goals from Delana Erickson and Brooke McErlain (Hampton, N.H.). Then halfway through the period, the Hawks used a 4-2 run capped off with back-to-back goals from Shayne Rivard to tie the game at ten with 8:31 left in the game. Unfortunately for the Hawks, Randolph-Macon scored the final three goals of the game to pick up the win.
