NEWTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Lacrosse team picked up a 18-7 victory over Lasell College Wednesday afternoon, earning its eighth straight win over the Lasers and improving to 9-3 in the all-time series.

How It Happened
Roger Williams used goals from
Peter Navarro and
Brian Brockwell to take a quick 2-0 lead within the first three minutes of play. Lasell's James Anderson notched a goal with 12:14 left in the first quarter to put the Lasers on the board.
However, Roger Williams would end the quarter with five unanswered goals and two more to kick off the second for a commanding 8-1 lead. Navarro and
Jared Grier each scored three goals over first 20 minutes of play to help contribute to the RWU lead.
Lasell was able to score twice at 11:09 and 3:57, but RWU would total five goals in the second quarter for a strong 12-3 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Lasell switched goalies, with Alex Beauchemin faring better than his predecessor, holding RWU to six second-half goals while making 14 saves. Most of RWU's damage in the second half came in the third quarter, with RWU putting up five goals in the period. The Hawks led by as many as 11 in the second half, cruising to the win.
