BIDDEFORD, Maine - Ryan Shea (Andover, Mass.) of the Roger Williams University Men's Cross Country team was honored as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Runner and Rookie of the Week for the week of October 4^th through October 10^th, it was announced by the conference offices on Tuesday.
 
Shea is the first member of the men's cross country team to receive both of the awards in the same week since Tim McGowan back in 2014.
 
Shea helped the team secure a fourth-place team finish as he placed 16^th individually with a time of 26:27.9 at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday. This was the highest finish for the RWU Cross Country team in a meet with 20 or more teams since 2017.
