BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Field Hockey team was handed a 2-3 loss by Endicott College Saturday afternoon in the team's final game of the regular season. Roger Williams enters the postseason as the #4 seed for the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament.

How It Happened
After a scoreless ten minutes to begin the game, the Hawks stunned the Gulls with a pair of goals to close out the first quarter.
Kelly Doherty (Mansfield, Mass.) put the Hawks up 1-0 with her second goal of the season with four minutes left in the first.
Amelia Monahan (Bristol, N.H.) followed up 20 seconds later with a goal off of a pass by
Brooklyn Cenatiempo (Trumbull, Conn.) that would give Roger Williams a 2-0 advantage.
Roger Williams' two-goal lasted throughout most of the second quarter, but Endicott made a late rally at the end of the period. Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.) put the Gulls on the board with three minutes left in the second with her third goal of the year. Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) tied the game at two with 1:14 left in the quarter to send the game into halftime tied at two.
A scoreless third quarter saw neither side have many opportunities to tack on a goal, with both teams combining for three shots. In the fourth quarter, Endicott outshot Roger Williams 13-1, but it was their third shot that made the difference. Jennifer Beardsley (Essex, Mass.) put in what would ultimately be the game-winning tally three minutes into the quarter. RWU's offense stalled in the quarter, with Endicott holding on for the win.
