BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team began Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 78-69 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
Eli Harris (Falmouth, Mass.) scored six points for Roger Williams as part of a 10-4 run over the first four minutes to begin the game for the Hawks. Roger Williams quickly doubled that lead a minute later with back-to-back threes by Harris and
John Ah Kao (Dumont, N.J.) and a layup by Harris to make it 18-6.
The Hawks would lead by as many as 19 before going into halftime up 42-25. Harris paced the way for the Hawks with 17 points and six rebounds in the half.
In the second half, the Hawks maintained their double-digit advantage throughout most of the early part of play. Wentworth would chip away at the deficit, with Conor Rubenskas laying in a bucket to cut it to single digits (43-51) with 12:53 left.
Late in the half, another layup by Trey Carrier brought Wentworth within five (59-64) with 4:23 to play. However, Harris and
Nate Mullen (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) would both knock down three to bring the Hawks back up by 11 with 2:18 left. From there, Roger Williams would maintain their advantage to notch the win.
