This week on Hawk Talk, Roger Williams senior swimming and diving captains Eamon McKenney and Emily Slusarczyk joined the podcast. They sat down with host Bryce Johnson and talked about the culture of the RWU swimming and diving team, the team's unique captain selection process and their numerous accomplishments in their time in Bristol.

Across his three seasons in Bristol, Eamon McKenney has become one of the most decorated swimmers in program history. As a freshman, McKenney earned All-NEISDA honors in ten different individual and team events and was a champion in the 50 and 100 Yard Backstroke, and the 200 and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. In the 50-Yard Backstroke he set the NEISDA record with a time of 23.65. In addition, he was a member of the teams that set the school record in the 200 Freestyle Relay and the 200 and 400 Medley Relay. In his second season, McKenney earned six All-NEISDA honors and was the NEISDA champion in the 50 Yard Backstroke, 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and the 200 and 400 Yard Freestyle Relays while setting a trio of school records. In his junior season, McKenney earned six All-NEISDA honors and five NEISDA championships in the 50-Yard Freestyle, 50 and 100 Yard Backstroke, 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and 400 Yard Medley Relay. In all, McKenney has earned All-NEISDA honors 22 times including 13 NEISDA championships and holds five school record times.
 
Emily Stusarczyk has also enjoyed quite the distinguished career in Bristol. As a freshman, she had six top-five finishes in various individual and relay events. As a sophomore, Slusarczyk earned her first All-NEISDA honor in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. She had first place finishes three different times that season with her best day coming against Bridgewater State. At that meet she finished first in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, second in the 100 Yard Freestyle and fifth in the 200 Yard Freestyle. As a junior, Slusarczyk earned two more All-NEISDA honors in the 200 and 400 Yard Freestyle Relays. In addition she had seven top three finishes with her best meet coming at UMass-Dartmouth when she won the 200 Yard Medley Relay and 200 Yard Freestyle Relay while also placing second in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
