Katrina Goria came up in the fourth and hit a three run homer to right center bringing the Hawks back into the game at 5-4. RIC responded with a run in the fourth but RWU was not done yet.

Coaches Corner
"What a day for the Hawks. Lia and freshman catcher
Taylor Howell were superb at keeping a very good hitting team in check, not letting RIC get any momentum. I was waiting for an offensive explosion like this from the Hawks. Alex Lombardo got us going with a solo HR to start the scoring in game one and we strung together some hits with Kat Goria and
Taylor Howell with multiple hit games.
Game two was back and forth with four pitchers teaming up against a good hitting RIC team. We provided a big seven run sixth inning where we hit through the order to go ahead 13-8 and held on for the 13-9 win. Goria provided the spark with a three run blast early. Ruo, Lombardo. Federico and Peters all got two hits. Provencal dealt the crushing blow with a bases loaded that scored thre and put the Hawks on top for good! It was a great team effort to battle from behind and find a way to get the win." –

Players Corner
"Today's outing was a collaborative effort. The bats were hot, the energy was consistent and defense followed suit. I couldn't be more proud of this team; they are a great support system to have and I look forward to how the rest of the season unfolds."-Alex Lombardo
