Alex Burdick (Jewett City, Conn.) was up next and singled to right field plating two but that was it for the Hawks as they couldn't come up with the rest in time.
Coaches Corner
"Both games were great battles from two competitive teams. It could have gone either way today, but credit Nichols for some timely hitting. We are still trying to find our rhythm but I love the fight and passion from team 39. Looking ahead to our next practice and then Curry and hoping to improve every time out."-
Joyce Maudie
Players Corner
"We put up a great fight, I think our bats and our defense are right there and we just need to work on the timing of it. Just getting started and excited for what's to come!"-
