How It Happened
The Hawks tallied four runs early in game one to put them ahead in the first inning. RWU tacked on one in the second and one in the third creating a 6-0 lead. With one out in the fourth, Tara Chatowsky drilled the ball over the right field fence to add another two runs. Later on in the inning, Emma MaClean (Newton, Mass.) singled to right field plating Taylor Chatowsky (North Kingstown, RI) to win the game 9-0.

How It Happened
The Hawks produced two runs in the top of the second from a wild pitch and Sydney Provencal's (Cumberland, RI) RBI single. Curry answered scoring five from a double, two singles, and an error by RWU's catcher. RWU tried to come back in the sixth when Emma MaClean singled to center bringing home teammate Tara Chatowsky (North Kingstown, RI) for a 5-3 score. Bay Naples followed with a double down the left field line to add one to the scoreboard but the Hawks couldn't come up with any more runs that resulted in a 4-5 loss.
 
Coaches Corner
"I loved the energy the team brought today. Key hitting in game one and a crafty pitching plan from Lia and Jacey. Taylor Howell and Alex Lombardo had some clutch hitting and Tara Chatowsky chipped in with a two run shot. Ellie and Bay pitched well in game two.  We had one inning that got away from us but kept battling back and gave ourselves a chance to tie it in the seventh.  Emma Maclean had a solid day at the plate and we scattered some hits but couldn't quite string them together.
