How It Happened
Hawk's freshman Kaylin Fehan ripped a single down the left field line to plate teammate Francesca Cioffi (Brewster, NY) in the second. Lia Nocella followed suit with an RBI single of her own to right field for a 2-0 lead. She brought home two more of her teammates in the fourth and sixth inning with another RBI single and a sacrifice fly. Not only did Nocella have a great day in the batter's box, she also pitched four innings and struck out seven on the mound for the Hawks. Curry scored two in the seventh but couldn't produce anymore resulting in a 4-2 win for RWU.

Coaches Corner
"The first game we left too many runners stranded and didn't capitalize on our opportunities as we had done in the previous two games. Curry turned the tables by getting those key hits to produce on offense. Defensively we gave Curry a few extra outs and they made them count. Game two was a solid defensive effort with a stellar play at second and third by Lizzie and Madison. Lia and Francesca executed a solid game plan and Lia helped her cause driving in three of the four runs. It was a great job of timely hitting and consistency on defense. The team brought a lot of energy today. We are looking forward to our next contests this weekend versus WNE!"-Joyce Maudie

Players Corner
"I think we played good in both games, we just didn't string our hits together in the first game to score more runs. I thought we bounced back well during the second game and our defense was solid and we had timely hitting that helped secure the win. Everyone is playing well overall and I am excited to see how we continue to improve!"-Lia Nocella
