BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The Roger Williams Women's Tennis team earned a 9-0 victory over Bridgewater State University Thursday afternoon in a non-conference tilt.

Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.)
Emma Place (Francestown, N.H.) set down Madeline Von Ruden and Abigail Ramer 8-3, with
Gianna Ferraro (Westerly, R.I.) and
Olivia Santoro (Cheshire, Conn.) winning by the same score at #2 over Olivia Sweeney and Allison Carter.
Kate Hardy (Southington, Conn.) and
Gracie McCarthy (Marion, Mass.) were locked in a battle at #3 against Vanessa Rosa and Mackenzie Silveira, but they were able to persevere with the win, edging the Bears' duo 8-7 (8-6).
Ferraro began singles for RWU with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #3, followed by a match-clinching victory by Santoro at #6, winning 6-1, 6-0 against Carter. Cahoon rolled to a 6-1, 6-3 win at #2, then
Alexa DiCesare (Norwood, Mass.) came away with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #4 against Ramer. Von Ruden gave Place a tough match at #1 singles, yet Place still collected the 6-1, 7-5 win. McCarthy wrapped up things with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at #5 against Brianna Venditti.
