Suffolk kicked off the second set four straight point after the Hawks took the first point of the game. The Rams would take a 6-2 lead and eventually build their lead to 12-6. Suffolk would go up by as many as eight before tying the set at one apiece with a 25-17 win.

Roger Williams scored four of the first six points of the game before pushing it to 8-4 and forcing a Ram timeout. Suffolk came out of the break with three straight points but RWU answered four consecutive points of their own. The Hawks maintained the momentum, extending the lead to seven (16-7) and never looked back. RWU would take the set 25-16 and a 2-1 lead.

The fourth set began similar to the first, with a back-and-forth affair early in the set. The tide turned in the Hawks' favor with six consecutive points to break a 6-6 tie. Suffolk pulled back in the game, making it a 13-14 game in RWU's favor. After a Hawk timeout, RWU scored three straight that would give them a cushion the rest of the way.
