SALEM, Mass. — The Roger Williams Women's Tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over Salem State University Tuesday afternoon.

Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.) and
Emma Place (Francestown, N.H.) won 8-6 at #1 doubles over Anastasia Startseva and Alexandria Floyd, with
Gianna Ferraro (Westerly, R.I.) and
Olivia Santoro (Cheshire, Conn.) taking an 8-1 victory at #2 against Daphne Pineda and Samantha Tenney. At #3,
Kate Hardy (Southington, Conn.) and
Gracie McCarthy (Marion, Mass.) downed Miah Reyes and Abbie Laliberte 8-0 at #3.
Ferraro, Santoro, and
Alexa DiCesare (Norwood, Mass.) all won their singles matches without dropping a set, with Ferraro winning at #3 over Pineda, DiCesare at #4 over Tenney, and Santoro at #6 over Cassie Lu. Cahoon was victories 6-0, 6-1 over Floyd, while McCarthy defeated Reyes 6-0, 6-2 at #5.
The Vikings' lone win of the day came at #1 singles, with Startseva notching a 6-4, 6-1 win over Place.
