BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University men's soccer team fell to Nichols College,
2-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Tuesday afternoon at Bayside
Field on the campus of Roger Williams.
The Hawks took two more shots in the contest than the Bison, but were unable to put an
extra shot on target, with both teams firing six at the keeper. Roger Williams earned 12
corner kicks, but the Bison defense stood firm.
Nichols struck early in the match, when William Savage scored for the Bison at the 7:44
mark of the contest, the Hawks had multiple opportunities, before a shot by
Javi Beltran (Madrid, Spain)
struck the top of the cross bar. The Bison scored their second goal minutes before the end
of the first half, putting them ahead the rest of the game.
Prior to the contest, the men's soccer team recognized their four seniors

Devon Bento (Seekonk, Mass.) in a pre-match ceremony.
Roger Williams (11-3-4, 6-2-1 CCC) will compete in the CCC Quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct.
29 th at Bayside Field, at a time TBD against the winner of No. 8 Wentworth and No. 7
Gordon.
