CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine-- Roger Williams field hockey player Chelsea King (Schenectady, N.Y.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week. This is the second CCC weekly award given to the freshman, having previously been named CCC Offensive Player of the Week.

King contributed to two wins for Roger Williams this week as the Hawks wrapped up their regular season. First, she scored the only goal in a 1-0 non-conference victory over Wheaton on Tuesday (Oct. 25). She followed that up by playing a part in every goal in the RWU's 3-0 CCC victory over Salve Regina on Friday. She recorded two tallies and an assist in a game that gave Roger Williams the No. 4 seed in the conference.

Roger Williams field hockey will be hosting No.5 Salve Regina on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 4PM, on Bayside Field for a CCC Quarterfinal.
