How It Happened
In the opener against Lasell, Roger Williams took an early lead in the bottom of the second. Sydney Provencal (Cumberland, R.I.) cleared the bases with a three-run double to left, scoring Casey Uryga (Berlin, Conn.), Jax Beaulieu (Sandwich, Mass.), and Caroline Thomas (Cranston, R.I.). The Hawks added two more runs in the bottom of the third. An infield hit and an error by the third baseman allowed Maddie Predaris (Rye, N.H.) and Nicole Corey (Dighton, Mass.) to score.

Lasell scored their lone run of the game in the fourth inning, when Ally Kirck drew a bases-loaded walk to score Brianna Gendreau. Taylor Myers (East Haven, Conn.) and Lia Nocella (Tyngsboro, Mass.) combined to shut down the Laser offense, scattering eight hits over seven innings and allowing that lone run in the fourth.

Against Springfield, the Hawks grabbed an early lead in the second. Beaulieu came through in the clutch with a two-out, two-RBI single down the left field line, bringing home Madison Tobin (Pittsfield, Mass.) and Francesca Cioffi (Brewster, N.Y.).

RWU's lead would only last until the third, when Springfield plated three runs in the frame. Sam Witmer brought home a pair of runs with a two-RBI double, while Breannah McCann gave the Pride the lead with an RBI single to left center.  Springfield added two more runs in the sixth on a two-RBI single by Witmer.

The Hawk offense stalled after their two-run second, collecting only three hits over the final five innings of play.
