How It Happened
The Roger Williams offense was shut down in the first game by Rhode Island College pitcher Abby Kidd (Granby, Conn.). Roger Williams failed to collect a hit in the game, with
Taylor Howell (Sandwich Mass.) drawing the only walk of the game for RWU.
A home run to left by Alexis Boyce (Wolcott, Conn.) in the second inning proved to be all the Anchorwomen would need. Yet, RIC added one more in the fourth and two more in the sixth to take the win.

In the second game, an RBI single by Cassidy Schoen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and an RBI double by Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.) quickly put Rhode Island College up 3-0 in the top of the first. Howell was able to get one of those runs back in the bottom of the inning, bringing home
Sydney Provencal (Cumberland, R.I.) with an RBI single.
Madison Tobin (Pittsfield, Mass.) would make it a 2-4 game in the bottom of the second with a base hit to center.

Yet, that would be all the Hawks could muster the rest of the way. The Anchorwomen added runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to build the lead to seven. In the Hawks final at-bat, Tobin was able to score
Jamie Wells (Castle Rock, Colo.) with an infield hit, but could not manage anything more.
