UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Roger Williams University men's soccer team is ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches Region II poll, released on Tuesday.
Roger Williams (5-0-2, 1-0-0 CCC) are the highest ranked team in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with both Endicott and Salve Regina also appearing in the eight team regional rankings.
The Hawks posted a 3-0-0 record this past week, including a 1-0 win over MIT, as well as 3-0 victories over the University of New England, in conference play, and UMass Dartmouth.
They moved up three spots from their previous spot at No. 6 in the regional rankings, overtaking WPI and Brandeis, as well as Wheaton. Babson holds the top spot in the region and are followed by Coast Guard.
Along with their Regional recognition, the Hawks also are receiving votes in the national poll.
Roger Williams plays host to the No. 4 ranked team in the region in WPI Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7 pm on Bayside Field, they will then return to CCC play on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 12 pm when they host Gordon.
