BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Roger Williams women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon at Babson, falling to the Beavers 5-0.
Coco Marrelli (Fairfield, Conn.) made 14 saves in the contest as the Hawks put five shots on cage, while earning three corner kicks.
Babson scored early, after 1:18 of lay, when Natalie Knauf was able to place a shot by Marrelli. In the 21
st minute, Babson stuck again with Knauf assisting on the goal by Isabelle Lynch.
After going into the half with Babson leading 2-0, the Babson scored two goals over a span of 6:31. The scoring came to a halt in the 87
th minute when Carolina Silva scored her second goal of the season.
Roger Williams (1-1, 0-0 CCC) will next face Clarkson on Friday, Sept. 9 at 3:30 pm up in Henniker, N.H. in the first contest of the New England College Classic. The Hawks will face SUNY Potsdam on Saturday, Sept. 10.
