Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University women's basketball team remained unbeaten in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Thursday night in the Campus Rec Center, defeating Salve Regina, 69-57.
 
The Hawks scored 21 points off second chance points, and tallied 28 points inside the paint.  The Bench also proved effective for the Hawks with 18 points being scored from reserves, Roger Williams also scored nine more points than the Seahawks off turnovers.
 
Nikki Rosa (Nahant, Mass.) had a career-high 18 points in the contest going 7-12 from the field including knocking down four three-pointers. Katie Galligan (Pembroke, Mass.) also tallied 18 points, knocking down 50 percent from the field, pulling down five rebounds, and four assists in the contest. Sophia Coppola (Madison, Conn.) also has 12 points, with six rebounds in the contest coming off the bench.
 
After the Seahawks held an early 4-1 lead, Roger Williams went on a 16-3 run over the final 7:24 of the opening quarter. The Hawks then extended their lead to 16 with 4:10 remaining in the half, but Salve Regina cut the lead to eight with a bucket right before the halftime break.
 
The second half started with a triple by Galligan, and followed up with a bucket on the Hawks next trip down the floor. Roger Williams led by 12 heading into the final frame, where they played the Seahawks to an even 15-15 quarter.
 
Roger Williams (9-2, 5-0 CCC) will travel to face Gordon on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 1 pm, before hosting Western New England on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 5:30 pm. The Hawks will then be off until Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 pm against Endicott.
