WENHAM, Mass – The Roger Williams University men's cross-country team took home their third straight CCC Championship on Saturday at Gordon University, with
Nathan Tassey (Whitman, Mass.) also taking home Runner of the Year honors for the second year in a row.
The Hawks cleared the rest of the field by 15 points, with Suffolk coming in with 57 points as the second-place finisher. Landing five runners on the All-Conference team, with five top 15 finishers.
Tassey took the top honors with a time of 25:44.2, finishing 16.8 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, while averaging a mile time of 5:10.6.
Harrison Krause finished sixth with a time of 26:34.2.
Dylan Beggins was then the third Hawk to cross the finish line, finishing in eighth place.
Trey Generali (Middlebury, Conn.) followed up with a 13
th finish with
Will Tainter-Gilbert on his heels finishing 14
th with a time of 27:03.0.
Alexander Kalber (Middletown, Conn.) and
Ryan Thomas (Easton, Conn.) finished 17
th and 20
th respectively to finish out scoring for the Hawks.
Roger Williams will be in action on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Westfield, Mass.
