BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University women's tennis team fell to Endicott, 7-2, at the Roger Williams Tennis Courts.

Starting in doubles action, the Hawks fought hard in all three matches. However, all three contests ended in defeat for Roger Williams, including a battle at No. 3 doubles that ended with Ella Mancini (Middlebury, Conn.) and Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) falling, 8-6.

Trailing 3-0 heading into singles play, Endicott managed to get another win at the No. 1 singles spot, with Lejla Guster, earning the win for the Gulls. In No. 4 singles, Endicott's Shelby Henry clinched victory for the Gulls.

In No. 2 singles, Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.) picked up a win, 1-6, 7-5, 10-8, in an exciting comeback, before Mancini got the Hawks second win at No. 6 to close out the contest.

Roger Williams (7-3, 1-2 CCC) will travel to face Salve Regina on Wednesday, Oct. 4 for a 4:00 pm match in Newport. The Hawks will then host CCC rival, Suffolk on Friday, Oct. 6 at 3:00pm, followed by two more CCC matches at Western New England on Saturday, Oct. 7 and hosting Curry to close out their season on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
