ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University women's tennis team, dropped their first match in Florida during their Spring Break Trip, 5-4 to the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer.
 
In doubles play the Chargers swept doubles play, including first doubles by a 8-7 score. The Hawks then won four matches in singles play.
 
Emma Place (Francestown, N.H.) won No. 1 singles (1-6, 6-4, 11-9) before Gracie McCarthy (Marion, Mass.) won her match at No. 4 singles by a score of 7-5, 6-4.  No 5 singles and No. 6 singles were won by Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Olivia Santoro (Cheshire, Conn.) by scores of 6-3, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 respectively.
 
Roger Williams (12-3, 6-1 CCC) will face SUNY Oneonta on Tuesday, Mar. 14 at 3 pm.
