In the first inning Western New England brought in a run with a double down the left field line, before a single through the left side drove in the second run of the game. A two-run homerun over the left field wall was able to bring two across to score before a RBI ground out by the Golden Bears in the top of the fourth rounded out scoring.

In game two, freshman hurler Raegen Germano (Old Tappan, N.J.) pitched a complete game shutout, throwing seven innings giving up two hits with one walk, while recording six strikeouts. At the dish, Taylor Howell (Sandwich, Mass.) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Caroline Thomas (Cranston, R.I.) also added a pair of hits and a walk.

In the bottom of the first the Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Jaime Wells (Castle Rock, Conn.) hit an RBI single to with Emma MacLean (Newton, Mass.) coming around to score. The Hawks again struck in the bottom of the third with Howell knocking an RBI double to left center field, as Casey Uryga (Berlin, Conn.) came in from second.

Roger Williams rounded out scoring in the bottom of the fifth inning with Howell hitting a single to center field, while MacLean came across to score for the second time.
