BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University softball team fell in both games of a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the Endicott Softball Complex, falling to the Gulls in game one, 7-1, before dropping game two, 3-0.
 
In game one, Roger Williams compiled seven hits in the contest, with 
Isabelle Rosado (Central Islip, N.Y.) and 
Jax Beaulieu (Sandwich, Mass.) each picked up a pair of hits, while 
Caroline Thomas (Cranston, R.I.), 
Taylor Howell (Sandwich, Mass.), 
Kelsey Burr (Warwick, R.I.), each added a hit in the contest.
 
Thomas brought in the lone run of the game in the top of the first inning when she hit a single through the right side of the infield to bring in Rosado. Endicott then added a run in the bottom of the first and second to take a 2-1 lead.  After holding the Gulls at bay, Endicott added another run in the bottom of the fourth and then a pair in the fifth and sixth in the loss.
 
In game two, the Hawks saw Rosado pick up another pair of hits, with 
Kasey Ruo (Smithfield, R.I.), 
Jaime Wells (Castle Rock, Colo.), and 
Jax Beaulieu (Sandwich, Mass.) each adding a hit. 
Taylor Myers (East Haven, Conn.) gave up three runs in the contest, pitching 3.2 innings with 
Nicole Corey (Dighton, Mass.) coming in to throw 2.1 innings of no-hit ball.
 
The Gulls scored first in the bottom of the third inning with a home run to left center field before adding a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning with back-to-back hits.
 
Roger Williams (10-25, 2-12 CCC) will host Rhode Island College for a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 26 before finishing their home slate on Saturday, Apr. 29 against the University of New England.
